Golf GTI 16V DOHC Motor-Blaupause — A2-Kunstdruck

The twin-cam that raised the bar. The 16V DOHC head — KR then 9A — turned the GTI from quick to genuinely serious: up to 139 PS, a 7,000 rpm appetite, and the little “16V” badge that told everyone at the lights you meant it.

Here it is drawn out in full: the cam cover, the four-branch runners, the belt drive and ancillaries mapped in cream over teal, callouts pointing to every part that made the head famous. A blueprint for the engine that gave the Mk2 its sharpest edge.
